Airbrush artist Greg Edwards is the founder and owner of Greg’s Airbrushing in Chesapeake, Virginia. A retired military veteran with more than 20 years of professional airbrushing experience, he has designed and painted a slew of amazing projects for countless satisfied customers.
Greg and his wife, Kim, graduated from Fern Creek Traditional High School, in Louisville, Kentucky. While there, Greg received many awards for art. Thereafter, he and his wife joined the military, which afforded their family the opportunity to travel around the world. These life experiences and interactions with other cultures have significantly influenced and enhanced his artwork.
In 1994, Greg began his airbrushing career at 21st Century Airbrushing®, located at Bill’s Flea Market® in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He quickly gained recognition as one of the top airbrush artists on the East Coast. Within a year, he opened up his first of three airbrush stores.
Airbrush for the Stars
With a client list that includes boxers Lennox Lewis, Roy Jones, Jr., and Derrick “Smoke” Gainer, Greg has gained a strong name among the stars for his skilled work. He has also had his work autographed by musical artists Freddie Jackson and Snoop Doggy Dogg as well as professional athletes Mark Brunell and Keenan McCardell.
Greg has recently been featured in The Virginian-Pilot for airbrushing a Suzuki® Hayabusa motorcycle titled “The Last Dragon,” named one of the best themed motorcycles in the Hampton Roads area. Along with all of his other work, the cycle was signed “ED,” a nickname given to Greg while he was in the military.
Today, Greg owns Greg’s Airbrushing in the Western Branch community of Chesapeake. He would like to thank a few people who were there in the beginning: Dwight Tyler, Brian Jordan, David King, Mike Faulkner, and his big brother, the late Terry Lee Edwards.
